Debt administration and recovery

The Law Firm provides services in the field of debt administration and long-term procedural representation of owners of receivables at all stages of the existence of the receivable in the out-of-court exercise of rights, as well as in judicial, arbitral, administrative, insolvency and enforcement proceedings for the payment of receivables.

Partly, but not only, thanks to a sophisticated administrative and IT support management system, AKVT has the know-how for administering and recovering a large number of client receivables, with the individual legal service being intensively supported by the corporate background of a cooperating specialised managerially controlled collection company, which gives our Law Firm a significant competitive advantage.

In the field of debt administration and recovery, the Law Firm has many years of experience in the provision of procedural legal services for the public sector, as well as for companies in the transport, mechanical engineering, energy and other business sectors in the Czech Republic.

Over the last ten years, the Law Firm has been systematically strengthening its engagement in the client receivable administration segment by expanding its clientele. At present, the aggregate of the client receivable portfolios that are administered includes several hundred thousand receivables of varying nominal values. In absolute terms, these receivables are worth several billion Czech crowns. In cooperation with the most successful distrainer’s offices in the long term, the Law Firm has successfully recovered a comparable volume of receivables for its clients over the same period. Depending on the type and quality of the receivables that are administered, the success rate achieved is up to about 60%. The factors that contribute considerably to the achievement of such a high success rate in the recovery of receivables include the speed of the processing of receivables continuously taken into administration and the continuous monitoring of the activities of the individual distrainer’s offices (in terms of the volume of the administration of receivables, the major clients are the entire ČEZ Group, Plzeňský městský dopravní podnik a.s. – the Plzeň Public Transport Company and Dopravní podnik hlavního města Prahy a.s. – the Prague Public Transport Company).
